High Life Adventures

We have visited High Life Adventures on the Northern Oregon Coast three times! Located in Warrenton which is just south of Astoria this is a perfect day trip from Portland or the Willamette Valley to

Skamania Lodge Aerial Park

The last time we stayed at Skamania Lodge we flew through the trees on their Zip Line course. You can read about that adventure here. They were just building the Aerial Park and we made

Skamania Lodge Zip Line Tour

Planning a trip to the Columbia River Gorge is exciting and can also be an exercise in decision making. It would be very easy to spend weeks here hiking, wine tasting, taking scenic drives and

OK Omens

Everyone has to have priorities. Terri-Lynn and I tend to be quite frugal as self employed artists, musician, film makers and travel bloggers. When we do splurge it is almost always on food and travel.

If you live in Portland you know Le Pigeon, a long time shining star in the local dining scene that is consistent and creatively delicious. So when Gabriel Rucker announced he would be opening a

Pho An Sandy

It seems like there is a Pho restaurant on almost every corner in Portland. So there are plenty of choices, and most are pretty good. I admit I have not tried too many on the

Tree To Tree Aerial Adventure Park

In between wine tasting and dining out it is always a good idea to get some exercise, burn off a few of those calories, embrace new challenges and basically feel good about yourself. Tree To

Martin’s Gorge Tours

Where do I begin? It would be difficult to try and describe what the Columbia River Gorge is to someone who has not been there. So I won’t. Here are a few photos and videos

I have been fortunate enough to have experienced the Super Hardcore Sushi at Nodoguro 4 times. Unfortunately on every visit I was not adequately prepared with tasting notes, or really great lighting for the food

About XPLORE FILM and Sip & Stay

The Art of Life

Tony and Terri-Lynn met in 1987 as teenagers. In 1991 they were married.  Tony has been a professional musician his entire life and spent the 90’s touring and releasing albums.  In 2001 the couple left the cities and moved to a small community on the Oregon coast. This is where they fell into television production and film making. In 2004 Makai Ohana Productions was founded and the couple produced advertising and creative content for hundreds of tourism related businesses and government entities in Southern Oregon and Northern California. Realizing the industry was evolving towards the internet they re-branded the business in 2012 to Xplore Film.  This company would now be an international business producing films world wide as well as an NGO in West Africa where the couple provides clean water boreholes, scholarships and even a prosthetic hand project.

In 2018 Tony and Terri-Lynn with their dog Bisque Kitt packed the belongings they could carry on their backs and flew to Spain. They bought a home and planned to spend equal time between the two countries running the business.  Then Covid hit and the world closed.  By 2020 they realized Spain, and specifically Torrevieja was now home.  They bought a sailboat and started to create a life on the Costa Blanca of music, film, events and community.
