A’ Tuscan Estate Bed & Breakfast

We have stayed at a number of Bed and Breakfasts in the Willamette Valley. Of course giving yourself a few days in the area is the preferred way to sample numerous wines from the areas Sub-Ava’s, all of which have their own distinct flavor profile.

This weekend we stayed at A’ Tuscan Estate in McMinnville. The location is perfect as we are walking distance to town with some excellent dining options and tasting rooms.

The lobby and common areas are very cozy, warm and inviting.

The Tuscan Suite. A large suite with a wrought iron California King size bed. Overstuffed love seat and wing back chair along with a fireplace.

The suite has a private bath with a walk-in shower and separate large soaking tub.

There are six uniquely decorated room options all with private en suite baths. You can visit their website here to view the other rooms.

There are so many reasons to choose a B&B over a standard hotel room. The Inn keeper Erin is a gracious and fantastic host. She welcomed us with chocolates and we ordered a charcuterie plate that we could enjoy with a bottle of Coelho Pinot Noir on the front porch.

Now lets talk about breakfast! Erin prepares an elegant three course gourmet meal to get you ready for your day in wine country.

Our first course was a house baked croissant, mango drizzle and blackberries. The menu changes daily and with the season using locally sourced products.

Our second dish was a granola parfait with vanilla Greek yogurt, house-made blueberry compote and house-made lemon curd. Orange juice and blueberry pomegranate juice are also offered and of course coffee!

Our hot entree was Caprese Baked Eggs. Layers of cherry tomatoes are sprinkled with mozzarella, roasted garlic seasoning and fresh basil. This is topped with two eggs and lightly covered with more tomato and mozzarella and baked until the cheese is bubbling. Absolutely DELICIOUS!

The dining room is set in a Provencal style with individual tables. So we could either visit with other guests or spend a more intimate time with each other.

About XPLORE FILM and Sip & Stay

The Art of Life

Tony and Terri-Lynn met in 1987 as teenagers. In 1991 they were married.  Tony has been a professional musician his entire life and spent the 90’s touring and releasing albums.  In 2001 the couple left the cities and moved to a small community on the Oregon coast. This is where they fell into television production and film making. In 2004 Makai Ohana Productions was founded and the couple produced advertising and creative content for hundreds of tourism related businesses and government entities in Southern Oregon and Northern California. Realizing the industry was evolving towards the internet they re-branded the business in 2012 to Xplore Film.  This company would now be an international business producing films world wide as well as an NGO in West Africa where the couple provides clean water boreholes, scholarships and even a prosthetic hand project.

In 2018 Tony and Terri-Lynn with their dog Bisque Kitt packed the belongings they could carry on their backs and flew to Spain. They bought a home and planned to spend equal time between the two countries running the business.  Then Covid hit and the world closed.  By 2020 they realized Spain, and specifically Torrevieja was now home.  They bought a sailboat and started to create a life on the Costa Blanca of music, film, events and community.
