Jaxon Vineyards

Anytime of year is a good time to go wine tasting. Trust me, I have years of experience. We visited Jaxon Vineyards in February and met Jamie and his wife Katherine. Jamie is the wine maker and he was out in the vineyard pruning vines.

Jaxon is a small winery and the tasting room is actually the terrace of their home with beautiful views over and across the Rogue Valley. Check their web site here for current tasting room hours.

Below is the video we made on our visit to Jaxon Vineyards. Jamie walks us through the process of pruning the vines and we then enjoyed a beautiful winter day on the terrace sampling the wines.
The wines are big and full of flavor, even the Granache that tends to be lighter had huge complex tasting notes.

The grounds are lovely and perfect to spend a few hours with a picnic. They have special events and live music throughout the summer and even the occasional food cart set up on site.

View this years special events on their web site here.

If you are a fan of big Rhone style wines I am certain you will enjoy Jaxon Vineyards.
