High Life Adventures

We have visited High Life Adventures on the Northern Oregon Coast three times! Located in Warrenton which is just south of Astoria this is a perfect day trip from Portland or the Willamette Valley to take a break from wine tasting. Of course if you are staying in Astoria this is a ‘do not miss’ activity while exploring the Oregon Coast.

There are currently 8 zip lines and new attractions have been added over the years since our first visit, including the one and only ZWING!

The Zwing is part Tarzan Swing part Zip Line. You are attached to a 20 foot lanyard and take off swinging as the Zip Line carries you across the lake.

The adventure park has a great story, you can read all about it here.

One of our favorite parts is the Zip Line that travels over the lake. On a hot day the guides will either lower you down to skim across the top of the water or if you really want to cool off they will get you super soaked. We have filmed 4 videos at High Life over the years, this is one of our favorites from 2016!

The last time we were there they had added the Zip N’ Sip Restaurant. A brilliant idea in my opinion. After hiking and zipping through the course I am always hungry, and also ready for a cold beer.

Above are a few samples from the menu. There is beer and wine available and we chose the meat and cheese plate. You can check out the entire menu and also the available tours and times by visiting their website here.

This really is a great idea as in the past we found ourselves racing back to Astoria to visit one of the many Public Houses that are producing world class Pacific Northwest style beers. Now we can just stay here and relax either in the kitchen or out by the fire pit.

Below are the videos that we have produced for High Life Adventures over the years.

About XPLORE FILM and Sip & Stay

The Art of Life

Tony and Terri-Lynn met in 1987 as teenagers. In 1991 they were married.  Tony has been a professional musician his entire life and spent the 90’s touring and releasing albums.  In 2001 the couple left the cities and moved to a small community on the Oregon coast. This is where they fell into television production and film making. In 2004 Makai Ohana Productions was founded and the couple produced advertising and creative content for hundreds of tourism related businesses and government entities in Southern Oregon and Northern California. Realizing the industry was evolving towards the internet they re-branded the business in 2012 to Xplore Film.  This company would now be an international business producing films world wide as well as an NGO in West Africa where the couple provides clean water boreholes, scholarships and even a prosthetic hand project.

In 2018 Tony and Terri-Lynn with their dog Bisque Kitt packed the belongings they could carry on their backs and flew to Spain. They bought a home and planned to spend equal time between the two countries running the business.  Then Covid hit and the world closed.  By 2020 they realized Spain, and specifically Torrevieja was now home.  They bought a sailboat and started to create a life on the Costa Blanca of music, film, events and community.
