Youngberg Hill Inn

What is better then visiting a winery in the Willamette Valley? Staying at a winery in the Willamette Valley. Especially when you have a spectacular home on a hill surrounded by vineyards and a view like you will find at Youngberg Hill.
We arrived and were greeted with a glass of Pinot Noir. So that was a good start.

Then we were shown our room. The large open space looked out over the valley. We had our own private deck too!

And then we saw the en-suite bathroom and tub with large glass walk in shower. I knew what my plans would be for the evening!

Our stay included a complimentary wine tasting. You can read more about that here. Afterwards Terri-Lynn and I explored the rest of the house and took a walk through the vineyards.

We really did not want to leave since we are only here for one night. The Inn is located near downtown McMinnville so we did venture out for dinner and visited a few other wineries on the way.

Now on to one of my favorite parts of staying in a BnB. The Breakfast! The smells from the kitchen woke us up and all we had to do was venture downstairs to the deliciousness that was waiting for us.
Grilled Pineapple, cranberries, cocnut and fresh baked muffins Pretty sure this is the origin of the smell that opened our eyes Salmon over eggs and potatoes with a hollandaise sauce
There are nine elegant and uniquely decorated suites at the Inn. View them all by going to their web site here.
Below you may view the short film we made while staying at the Inn. We also met with the owner and wine maker Wayne Bailey after breakfast and he described to us what was happening out in the vineyard at this time of year. See the entire interview below.
